Each year, we host the Rooster Awards, honoring local talent in a number of different categories, including:

• Contemporary Blues Act (Electric)
• Traditional Blues Act (Acoustic)
• New Blues Act Instrumentalist (Can be any instrument)
• Female Blues Vocalist
• Male Blues Vocalist
• Blues Venue

Nominations:

Nominations usually go from our November membership gathering through the end of the year. You must be a member to submit a nomination and each member may submit one nomination form. Nominations are kept private until after January 1. You may submit your nomination of up to three acts per category at one of the membership gatherings or by mail with your name and address on the envelope:

Eligibility:

Any band or act with members residing in Douglas, Lincoln, Linn, Benton or Lane Counties is eligible.

Awards:

The membership votes on the nominations in January and February. Winners in each category are determined by number of votes. Award announcements and presentations are made at the annual March membership meeting.
